Drill Weekend
Gentlemen,
Our drill weekend will be in collaboration with the Hardee Guard Battalion at Mountain Cove Farms on Saturday, March 5 beginning at 10:30am Eastern Time (9:30 Alabama Time).
Here are some of the battalion drills that we will practice (from the Colonel’s email):
Forming the Battalion
Posting the colors
By files right into line
Changing fronts
Withdrawal by companies
Also each company will be able to have their own company drills for School of the Soldier, stacking arms, etc. We will mostly likely also practice skirmish drill.
All members are encouraged to attend, as new officers and NCO’s can practice their new positions and we can also get used to working alongside our sister companies in the battalion go to website.
Impression is Confederate, so come in the Confederate kit of your choosing, as well as accouterments and musket, AND BAYONET! If you have Richmond Depot Jackets, it’d be a good chance to use them.
